Report title: Mainstream CAE Tools: Technical Considerations and Informative Comparisons. Assembly Analysis Benchmarks.

This report summarizes a study comparing computer aided engineering, design analysis programs. The goal was to assess and compare their relative performances. The subject programs were tested against one another in three categories of performance: accuracy against benchmarks, speed, and ease of use. Each program was presented with ten real world engineering problems representing several industries. The report can serve as a guide for prospective buyers of design analysis programs. This report is reviewed in the March 2000 issue of Desktop Engineering magazine.
